Description
Henna powder from Rajasthan from the 2022 crop.
Our body art quality Rajasthani natural henna powder is recommended by the artists of East West Mehndi Meet henna conference. It is triple sifted and sealed in airtight packaging to ensure it is arriving fresh for you to mix. It makes a paste that has just the right amount of stringiness and gives a rich, dark stain.
Mix it with 40 g sugar, 30 ml essential oil, and 225 ml water or lemon juice to mix it to toothpaste consistency. Dye release time is 5-6 hours if mixed with water and 8-12 hours for a lemon mix.
We recommend our fragrant french levander or cajeput essential oils for best results.
No need to mix a fresh batch of henna every time you want to use it. If you mix up a batch you can store it in the freezer for up to 6 months.
Our airtight packaging keeps our henna powder fresh for a long time.
Best before 2025.12.30
If you want to use it for hair dyeing mix the henna powder with lukewarm water, add a tablespoon of apple vinegar or lemon juice and let it sit for a 1-3 hours before applying on your hair for permanent red colour. Keep it on for 1-3 hours wrapped in kitchen foil and a towel to keep it warm and rinse it thoroughly. To condition your hair delude 20-30 ml of apple vinegar in 1 l of water. You can add 2-3 drops of your favorite essential oil for fragrance. Rinse your hair with it before rinsing it again with water.
Please note that the colour will depend on your original hair colour as henna cannot lighten your hair. It will be a bright red on grays and blonde hair, closer to burgundi on brown hair and just a hint of copper on dark brown hair. Best to test on a strand of hair to make sure you like the colour before dyeing all your hair. 100 gram henna powder is enough for dying shoulder length hair and you only need about 30 g henna powder for a touch up at the roots.
